- • iCapital Network LLC is seeking a Data Privacy Attorney to join its Legal team in Lisbon, Portugal, focusing on global data privacy compliance with a GDPR-first approach.
- • The role involves building, implementing, and managing privacy policies and practices across the organization, leading new market assessments for personal data requirements, and drafting and reviewing complex data-driven client agreements such as terms of service, privacy policies, and commercial contracts.
- • The attorney will work closely with the General Counsel and other attorneys in Legal and Compliance groups, supervise outside counsel, manage external contractual relationships, and handle client inquiries regarding data protection, withdrawal of information, and rights like the right to be forgotten.
- • The position offers the opportunity to monitor evolving industry trends in data privacy, including AI/ML regulations and expanding personal data rights, perform ad hoc research, and contribute to data rights tracking for new products and services such as portfolio analytics and market insights.
- • This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week, ideal for a licensed attorney in Portugal with 4+ years of experience in data protection from a top-tier law firm or in-house setting.
