📋 Description

• As a Data Science Manager (Marketing) at Moniepoint Inc., you will lead data initiatives that drive marketing strategy and business growth in Africa’s leading fintech platform, powering over $250 billion in annual digital payment transactions and serving 20 million users.
• Your day-to-day includes strategic leadership in building a high-performing data science team, owning end-to-end data pipelines, driving experimentation through A/B testing and marketing mix models, generating actionable insights for marketing and product teams, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data rigor in decision-making.
• You will join Moniepoint Inc., Africa’s all-in-one financial platform and Nigeria’s largest merchant acquirer, where data is central to scaling financial inclusion and innovation across payments, banking, credit, and business management tools.
• In this role, you will develop expertise in fintech marketing analytics, lead a team of data professionals, shape the company’s data strategy, and gain hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms like ClickHouse and BigQuery while driving impact through experimentation and model productionization.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of overall experience with +4 years in data leadership or management roles
• Proven expertise in experimentation methodologies including A/B testing, multivariate testing, geo-holdouts, and variance reduction techniques
• Ability to design, architect, and maintain scalable data pipelines using ETL/ELT on cloud platforms such as ClickHouse and BigQuery
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data science tasks, with ability to select and guide others on appropriate tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to convey insights to diverse audiences
• Experience working with marketing and advertising data from platforms such as Facebook
