📋 Description

• As a Data Science Manager (Marketing) at Moniepoint Inc., you will lead data initiatives that drive marketing strategy and business growth in Africa’s leading fintech platform, powering over $250 billion in annual digital payment transactions and serving 20 million users.
• Your day-to-day includes strategic leadership in building a high-performing data science team, owning end-to-end data pipelines, championing rigorous experimentation (including A/B testing and geo-holdouts), generating actionable insights for marketing mix models and customer segmentation, and collaborating closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align data efforts with business goals.
• Moniepoint Inc. is Africa’s all-in-one financial platform, Nigeria’s largest merchant acquirer, and a high-growth fintech processing massive transaction volumes through subsidiaries, with a mission to expand financial inclusion across the continent.
• In this role, you will develop and execute a world-class data strategy, mentor and grow a team of data professionals, productionize data science models, and directly impact marketing effectiveness through advanced analytics — positioning yourself as a strategic leader shaping the future of data-driven marketing in African fintech.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of overall experience with +2 years in data leadership or management roles
• Expertise in experimentation methodologies including A/B testing, multivariate testing, geo-holdouts, and variance reduction techniques
• Ability to design, architect, and maintain scalable data pipelines using ETL/ELT on cloud platforms (specifically Clickhouse and BigQuery)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data science tasks, with ability to select and guide others on appropriate tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to convey complex insights to diverse audiences
• Experience working with marketing data from advertising platforms such as Facebook
