Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Embed within one of Jerry’s core business units — Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships — to own the end-to-end analytical function for that domain.
- • Define the right business questions before initiating analysis, pushing back on flawed or misaligned problems to ensure focus on high-impact initiatives.
- • Design and build metrics, reports, and dashboards using SQL (ClickHouse) and Metabase to track and monitor key business performance indicators.
- • Conduct independent data extraction, cleaning, structuring, and interpretation to uncover insights that directly influence product, growth, or operational decisions.
- • Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and measure the impact of product changes, marketing campaigns, or automation initiatives.
- • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, persuasive recommendations that drive action across product, engineering, finance, and operations teams.
- • Communicate insights directly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders with precision, ensuring decisions are data-informed and aligned with business goals.
- • Own the execution of analytical projects from ideation through implementation, ensuring insights lead to measurable outcomes and not just reports.
- • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate data pipelines, improve data quality, and ensure analytical outputs are scalable and sustainable.
- • Work with Python and Jupyter Hub to develop custom analyses, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance analytical workflows.
- • Use GitHub to version control code, collaborate on shared analytical assets, and maintain documentation for reproducibility and team knowledge sharing.
- • Act as a first-principles problem solver: break down ambiguous, high-stakes business challenges into testable hypotheses before touching data.
- • Operate with ownership mindset — treat issues outside your formal scope as your responsibility if they impact business outcomes.
- • Avoid corporate fluff: focus only on work that materially moves the needle toward scaling from 5M to 50M customers and building a $10B business.
- • Eliminate unnecessary meetings, slides, and approvals; prioritize direct impact over process or presentation.
- • Work in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment where initiative, clarity, and execution are valued over hierarchy or bureaucracy.
- • Contribute to building Jerry’s AI-powered super app by enabling data-driven decisions across new verticals including home, motorcycle, and RV ownership.
- • Support the expansion of Jerry’s market leadership by identifying growth levers, optimizing customer acquisition, and improving retention through data.
- • Maintain a culture of insatiable learning and continuous improvement, aligning with the 14-member Data Science & Analytics team’s ethos of solving hard problems with tangible impact.

- • Clear, persuasive communication skills to influence decisions at the leadership level
- • First-principles thinking: ability to define problems before analyzing data
