Data Scientist

📋 Description

• • As Junction’s first Data Scientist, you will own the company’s highest-leverage statistical, modeling, and evaluation work across diagnostics, clinical workflows, and AI-enabled product development, turning abundant health data into reliable intelligence that drives product, clinical, and business outcomes.
• • Day to day, you will own research and modeling for high-priority data science opportunities, define rigorous frameworks for measurement and causal evaluation, lead development of predictive models and risk/routing logic, build analytical foundations for customer-facing features, partner with engineering to deploy models into production, establish evaluation methodologies for AI-enabled features, and communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• • Junction is building the infrastructure layer for diagnostic healthcare, making patient data accessible, actionable, and automated across labs and devices, backed by top-tier investors including Creandum, Point Nine, 20VC, and YC, with a mission to use health data to unlock unprecedented insight into human health and disease.
• • In this role, you will define the broader scientific and analytical system for Junction—setting methodology, research roadmap, and decision frameworks—while gaining ownership over high-impact work that shapes product strategy, improves customer outcomes, and establishes Junction as a leader in data-driven healthcare innovation.
