📋 Description

• • As a Data Scientist at Metriport Inc., you will serve as the architect of the company’s data ecosystem, ensuring that raw clinical data is transformed into accurate, actionable insights that power healthcare decision-making for customers ranging from startups to enterprise health systems. Your work directly impacts product integrity and customer trust by guaranteeing that every metric, report, and AI-driven insight shared internally or externally is 100% reliable and clinically meaningful.
• • Day to day, you will own data quality and analytic integrity across the product-engineering space, validating that all charts, reports, and insights meet rigorous accuracy standards; you will be the primary owner of the analytics stack, including Posthog and BI platforms, ensuring they are correctly implemented, optimized, and accessible to stakeholders; you will productize analytics by designing and shipping self-service analytic suites as core platform features, enabling customers to explore patient populations through the Metriport UI or their own data warehouses; you will lead advanced projects such as applying AI/ML models to predict patient outcomes or identify care gaps, writing Python or TypeScript scripts to automate data enrichment and build internal tools, and leveraging LLMs to normalize messy clinical data into structured, searchable insights; you will participate in a daily 30-minute remote stand-up at 7:30am PST Monday through Friday, the team’s only regular mandatory meeting, fostering alignment while preserving autonomy.

• • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in healthcare data systems, including FHIR, HL7, and clinical data workflows, while advancing your skills in AI/ML application, data productization, and full-stack analytics engineering.
