📋 Description

• As a Data Scientist at Sonio SAS, you will contribute directly to the detection of severe fetal anomalies through AI-powered prenatal screening tools, working on a clinically meaningful product that improves maternal and fetal health outcomes.
• You will own the end-to-end delivery of AI components, including data curation, model training, evaluation, error analysis, and iterative improvements in production, with real influence on what ships and how it performs.
• You will join a cross-functional team of experts from Necker Hospital and École Polytechnique, collaborating in a mission-driven environment focused on technological innovation, medical expertise, and collective intelligence to advance prenatal medicine.
• In this role, you will have the opportunity to take a project from value definition to day-to-day clinical use, gaining hands-on experience in applying AI to real-world medical challenges while developing expertise in medical imaging and clinical AI applications.

🎯 Requirements

• Practical ML experience: ability to implement, run, and iterate quickly on AI/ML components, not just design them.
• Strong Python skills: writing clean, tested code following good software practices.
• Master’s degree (minimum) in AI, Computer Vision, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent proven experience.
• Strong analytical and debugging instincts: capable of diagnosing model performance issues and proposing clear action plans.
• Clear communication: ability to explain technical results, risks, and limitations to non-technical stakeholders such as product teams and clinicians.
• Comfort with ambiguity and autonomy: taking initiative and driving work forward independently.
