📋 Description
- • As a Data Scientist at Fundamental, you will research, develop, and productize data science capabilities that enhance the performance of NEXUS, the company's Large Tabular Model, directly impacting how Fortune 100 companies make enterprise decisions.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing production-quality Python components, running rigorous experiments to measure model impact, collaborating with Engineering and Research teams to understand model behavior, and validating approaches on real customer datasets with Applied AI Engineers.
- • You will join a team of DeepMind alumni building the world's most powerful Large Tabular Model, working on unprecedented technical challenges in foundation model development from the ground up in a mission-driven, low-ego culture.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise tabular data challenges, contribute to product capabilities that power real-world predictions, and help shape technical documentation and internal best practices for a category-defining AI company.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in data science or machine learning roles
- • Strong Python skills, including fluency with pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn
- • Deep hands-on experience with traditional ML models: XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, and similar gradient boosting frameworks
