📋 Description
- • Own and manage all runtime requirements for Pyth Pro, including monitoring, provisioning, risk metrics, and SLA management to ensure institutional-grade reliability and performance
- • Establish measurable service targets for each iteration and track improvements in system reliability, risk reduction, and service quality over time
- • Translate operational challenges into automated solutions by identifying repetitive manual tasks and designing systematic automation for feed provisioning and feed reviews
- • Ensure all price feeds meet strict quality standards and institutional requirements for fidelity, latency, and uptime from primary data sources
- • Lead end-to-end incident response for market data outages, conducting data forensics to quantify user impact and implement fixes that measurably reduce recurrence
- • Make high-stakes operational decisions during critical incidents, prioritizing rapid resolution while documenting root causes and systemic improvements
- • Architect resilient systems by proactively identifying potential failure modes and designing preventive measures that minimize human error and downtime
- • Bridge technical operations with institutional users and data providers by managing relationships, translating their needs into technical requirements, and advocating internally for operational enhancements
- • Balance hands-on execution of operational tasks with strategic planning for long-term infrastructure improvements and service scalability
- • Communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and C-suite executives, ensuring alignment on priorities, risks, and service improvements
- • Champion operational excellence by focusing on reliability that directly impacts customer trust, not theoretical perfection or unnecessary complexity
- • Lead projects from concept to implementation, owning outcomes including automation deployment, incident prevention metrics, and service target achievement
- • Collaborate with global teams across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia in a fully remote, digital-first environment to deliver mission-critical market data infrastructure
- • Work within a dynamic DeFi ecosystem where adaptability, speed, and problem-solving are essential to keep pace with evolving market needs and institutional expectations
- • Contribute to the growth of Pyth’s Amsterdam hub by aligning operational strategy with technical and business development objectives
- • Maintain fluent English communication to support global stakeholders, including prime brokers, exchanges, crypto infrastructures, and institutional traders
- • Drive cultural adoption of operational discipline by modeling accountability, systematic thinking, and customer-centric problem-solving across the organization
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in technical engineering operations, data systems engineering, or technical project management for distributed systems
- • Proven track record running mission-critical systems with experience in incident management and on-call operations
- • Deep understanding of data systems and distributed infrastructure
- • Experience with financial markets, market data, or real-time systems
- • Background at tier-1 financial institutions (exchanges, prime brokers), crypto exchanges, or infrastructure providers
- • Able to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineers and C-suite executives
