- • Tune ClickHouse queries for performance and efficiency to ensure optimal data retrieval and system responsiveness.
- • Administer ClickHouse settings, tables, and data structures, acting as the primary ClickHouse database administrator.
- • Create, maintain, and optimize data models and dashboards in Looker to support product and player analytics.
- • Implement and monitor automated data quality checks and validations to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical datasets.
- • Perform infrastructure management tasks on Kafka, Zookeeper, ClickHouse, and Kubernetes clusters to maintain system stability and scalability.
- • Design and execute backup and restore strategies for large-scale datasets to safeguard critical data assets.
- • Utilize Linux CLI and shell scripting for system troubleshooting, automation of routine tasks, and operational efficiency.
- • Apply infrastructure as code practices using Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or equivalent tools to manage and version infrastructure configurations.
- • Work with Git and version control workflows to collaborate on data pipeline and infrastructure code changes.
- • Maintain a deep understanding of data modeling concepts, including staging, marts, star/snowflake schemas, and data lifecycle management.
- • Ensure reliable operation of Looker dashboards by monitoring performance, resolving data refresh failures, and validating metric consistency.
- • Collaborate across engineering and analytics teams to align data infrastructure with product goals and user insights.
- • Monitor system health using observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus to detect anomalies and proactively address performance bottlenecks.
- • Support end-to-end data pipeline operations, from ingestion via Kafka to transformation and delivery to analytical layers.
- • Maintain strong focus on data integrity, query performance, and infrastructure resilience in a high-scale, fast-moving environment.
- • Communicate technical requirements and progress clearly in English (minimum B2 equivalent proficiency).
🎯 Requirements
- • Hands-on experience tuning queries in relational databases
- • Proven database administration experience
- • Strong SQL, including window functions and analytical queries
- • Working knowledge of Kafka: topics, partitions, offsets, and delivery guarantees
- • Familiarity with Linux CLI and shell scripting for troubleshooting and automation
- • Working knowledge of Kubernetes
