- • Design, implement, maintain, and optimize complex, enterprise-class database systems to support critical healthcare operations.
- • Collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and application developers to ensure optimal database performance, data integrity, and security across the organization.
- • Administer and manage enterprise-class database platforms including Oracle, SQL Server, and Epic ODB with expert-level proficiency.
- • Implement and manage high availability and disaster recovery solutions to ensure continuous database uptime and data resilience.
- • Perform routine database monitoring, tuning, and capacity planning to meet evolving business demands and system scalability requirements.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity issues in a 24/7 healthcare environment.
- • Enforce database security protocols, access controls, and compliance standards to protect sensitive patient and organizational data.
- • Document database architectures, configurations, change logs, and operational procedures to support knowledge transfer and audit readiness.
- • Participate in database migration projects, upgrades, and patch management cycles with minimal disruption to clinical and administrative systems.
- • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior database administrators and IT support staff.
- • Work within a full-time, daytime shift schedule to align with organizational operational hours across the United States.
- • Ensure all database activities comply with healthcare industry regulations and ProMedica’s internal policies on data governance and privacy.
- • Support cross-functional initiatives by providing database expertise for application development, reporting, and analytics projects.
- • Maintain accurate inventory of database assets, licenses, and dependencies across multiple environments.
- • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying automation opportunities and optimizing database workflows.
