- • As a Databricks Data Engineer at Horizon Industries, Limited, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable insights for clients across private and public sectors, directly supporting mission-critical IT and management consulting initiatives.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include building end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, assessing and optimizing data workflows, addressing technical inquiries around data integration and architecture, manipulating structured and unstructured data, and supporting Agile development cycles while ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with data governance standards.
- • Horizon Industries is a Washington, DC-based IT and Management Consulting firm founded in 1996, known for its diverse, employee- and family-centric culture, delivering full-cycle IT consulting and management support to government and commercial clients with a focus on innovation and technical excellence.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), master Databricks-based data engineering at scale, gain hands-on experience with real-time streaming and big data technologies, and grow into a trusted technical advisor capable of leading data modernization efforts for complex enterprise clients.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- • 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering and big data technologies, including at least 2 years in professional services interacting directly with clients
- • Proven expertise in Databricks, Python, SQL, and AWS/Azure cloud services (including EC2, S3, RDS, Glue, EMR, Redshift, etc.), with hands-on experience designing and deploying data pipelines and data warehousing solutions
