- • Design, build, and scale a cloud-based lakehouse platform using Databricks to support petabyte-scale data operations across global client engagements.
- • Own the end-to-end architecture of the data ecosystem on Databricks, including data ingestion, transformation, governance, performance optimization, and security protocols.
- • Partner directly with data science and analytics teams to productionize machine learning models and analytical workloads into scalable, production-grade pipelines.
- • Write production-grade code in Python, SQL, and Scala to implement data pipelines, orchestration workflows, and data quality controls on the Databricks platform.
- • Set and enforce technical standards for data architecture, code quality, and operational excellence across the broader data organization.
- • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers in Databricks best practices, cloud data engineering principles, and scalable data architecture patterns.
- • Collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams to optimize Databricks cluster configurations, auto-scaling policies, and cost-efficiency measures in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- • Implement and maintain data governance frameworks including lineage tracking, access controls, metadata management, and compliance with enterprise data policies.
- • Lead technical evaluations of new Databricks features, integrations, and third-party tools to enhance platform capabilities and drive innovation.
- • Document architectural decisions, system designs, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity across distributed teams.
- • Act as the primary technical liaison between client stakeholders and internal engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement proactive monitoring and alerting for data pipelines and lakehouse services.
- • Contribute to the Co-Innovation methodology by co-creating solutions with clients that align technical execution with strategic business outcomes.
- • Stay current with evolving Databricks platform capabilities, industry trends in data & AI, and cloud-native data architecture advancements.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience designing and deploying large-scale data platforms on Databricks in production environments
- • Expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake
- • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and managing Databricks clusters within them
- • Strong background in data governance, metadata management, and data security practices
- • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical standards across teams
- • Experience productionizing machine learning and analytical workloads from data science teams
