📋 Description
- • As a Decision Science Analyst Senior – Fraud at USAA, you will translate operational fraud data into member experience insights by linking transaction activity, declines, and verification outcomes to complaint themes and contact center call drivers, directly impacting member trust and fraud risk balance.
- • Day to day, you will apply advanced analytical techniques to solve medium to large-scale business problems, integrate and transform disparate data sources, develop insight-to-action recommendations, create visualizations for non-technical audiences, and present findings to influence management and drive strategic decisions.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in fraud and customer journey analytics, gain experience influencing executive leadership with data-driven strategies, and develop proficiency in emerging analytics tools and techniques while contributing to process improvements that reduce member friction and escalations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative analytics field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data Science) or equivalent experience (6 years of data & analytics experience or 4 years plus 2 years of relevant functional business experience).
- • Advanced skills in mathematical and statistical techniques for fact-based decision-making, with proficiency in SQL, SAS, BI tools, or similar analysis software for data querying, visualization, and procedure development.
- • Experience identifying and integrating quality data sources, performing exploratory data analysis, applying data hygiene techniques, and documenting assumptions and methodology for peer review and compliance.
- • Familiarity with emerging data sets and trends (e.g., Cloud, Python, Neural Networks, IoT, streaming/NRT data) and a commitment to ongoing learning through formal or informal education.
