- • The Dedicated Operations Technical Account Manager (DO-TAM) role at Red Hat is a critical onsite position supporting a key government customer in Huntsville, AL, ensuring the stability, performance, and evolution of their Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments through hands-on Day 2 operations and technical advocacy.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include administering and maintaining OpenShift clusters, performing proactive technical reviews to prevent issues, managing customer cases with detailed documentation, providing onsite support with mobility between facilities, and advising customers on container orchestration and cloud-native solutions.
- • You will collaborate closely with Red Hat Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Support teams to resolve complex technical issues, serve as the customer’s primary advocate within Red Hat, and facilitate coordination with other vendors to align on shared goals.
- • This role offers deep expertise in enterprise Kubernetes and OpenShift environments, opportunities to influence product direction through customer feedback, and experience in high-stakes public sector operations where mission-critical system reliability is paramount.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active U.S. Government Secret (or higher) security clearance is required.
- • 5+ years of Linux system administration experience with hands-on expertise in Red Hat OpenShift administration, including installation, upgrading, and troubleshooting.
- • Strong understanding of container orchestration (Kubernetes), container registries, and microservices architecture.
- • Prior experience in support, development, engineering, or QA organizations, preferably within the public sector.
- • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly to customers and internal teams.
- • Willingness to provide after-hours coverage (on-call duty) as needed.
