- • The Default Claims Specialist role is critical to ensuring mortgage accounts are serviced in full compliance with state and federal laws, investor, insurer, and agency guidelines, directly supporting ServiceMac’s mission to deliver superior technology, personalized service, and operational excellence in mortgage sub-servicing. This role safeguards compliance, minimizes risk exposure, and upholds the company’s reputation for customer satisfaction and regulatory adherence.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring loans to ensure required milestones are met, completing claim and title activities by coordinating with attorneys, investors, insurers, and other stakeholders, maintaining strict quality assurance metrics, and providing data-driven recommendations for process improvements to reduce risk and enhance efficiency.
- • The role requires prioritizing work to ensure timely and accurate resolution for internal and external partners, diligently following up on outstanding requests and calls, monitoring vendor performance through system/database reviews, and tracking exception reporting as a key control mechanism for risk mitigation.
- • The Claims Specialist must adhere strictly to departmental and business policies, work independently to complete assignments within prescribed routines, and maintain a positive, professional attitude under pressure while delivering exemplary customer service.

- • In this position, you will deepen your expertise in default liquidation claims, GSE and government claim processes, and ICE technologies (MSP and LoanSphere Claims), while developing leadership and coaching abilities through cross-functional collaboration and process improvement initiatives, positioning you for advancement in mortgage operations, compliance, or claims management.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of Default Liquidation Claim Experience Required
- • GSE and Government Claim experience
- • ICE technology: MSP and LoanSphere Claims experience
- • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook
- • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures
- • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while providing exemplary internal and external customer service
- • Excellent oral communication skills, including ability to effectively coach, motivate, and lead staff
- • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within prescribed routines and standard accepted practices
