- • Oversee accounting reconciliations for a portfolio of Defined Contribution clients, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of cash and investment reconciliations.
- • Manage and monitor operations team outputs in a virtual environment, providing oversight of accounting work performed by remote teams.
- • Conduct regular meetings with operations managers in accounting delivery to align on performance, timelines, and quality standards.
- • Perform end-to-end accounting tasks for select clients with specific contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with service level agreements.
- • Monitor and analyze client delivery metrics related to accounting services, using data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- • Consult internally and with clients on accounting-related topics arising from plan design changes, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- • Review all accounting deliverables prior to release to clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls and contractual requirements.
- • Support client plan audits and reporting activities by preparing documentation and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- • Identify training needs and collaborate with performance team managers to implement action steps that enhance team capabilities and service quality.
- • Conduct root cause analysis of administrative gaps that impact money flow, and propose and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- • Maintain awareness of financial impacts to clients, their retirement plans, and Alight resulting from the timeliness and quality of accounting tasks and fund movements.
- • Define corrective actions and provide follow-up oversight with performance teams and external parties to resolve reconciliation and funding issues.
- • Leverage internal policies, tools, and Wealth Solutions operational best practices to ensure consistent and compliant service delivery.
- • Work effectively with Shared Service groups to coordinate resources, resolve escalations, and optimize delivery efficiency.
- • Demonstrate coaching experience by providing feedback, guiding team members, and fostering professional development in a virtual setting.
- • Apply strong communication and client listening skills to consult with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored accounting solutions.
- • Exhibit analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex reconciliation and funding discrepancies under tight deadlines.
