Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the 24-month unconstrained demand plan for DuPont’s Spectrum Components & Devices business, a critical Industrial Solutions unit whose materials power everything from smartphones to electric-vehicle batteries. Your forecast will directly influence global capacity, capital investment, and customer commitments.
- • Synthesize multi-view inputs from sales, marketing, product management, and regional leaders across North America, EMEA, and APAC. Challenge assumptions, validate statistical baselines generated by demand analysts, and translate disparate data into one coherent, risk-adjusted plan.
- • Drive monthly consensus cycles: prepare pre-read decks, lead Global Demand Review meetings, and secure executive buy-in on volumes, upside/downside scenarios, and required actions. Present clear narratives that link market intelligence to financial impact.
- • Continuously monitor forecast accuracy and bias; dissect root causes of deviation (promotional lift, channel inventory swings, macro shocks) and implement corrective levers such as forecast-value-add analysis, SKU rationalization, or demand-shaping programs.
- • Partner with master planners during Supply Review to flag constraints, run scenario models, and negotiate demand-supply balancing decisions that protect service levels while minimizing obsolescence and expedite costs.
- • Maintain planning-system integrity (APO/OMP/SAP) through disciplined monthly uploads and weekly exception management; ensure clean disaggregation by region, channel, and customer to enable downstream MRP and S&OP execution.
- • Champion the Differentiated Forecast Strategy (DFS) by segmenting SKUs into statistical, collaborative, and strategic tiers; validate algorithmic outputs and refine parameters to raise overall plan reliability.
- • Build a closed-loop learning culture: publish KPI dashboards, facilitate post-mortems, and mentor regional sales teams on forecast accountability, translating complex analytics into actionable insights.
- • Lead or support continuous-improvement projects under the guidance of the Demand Manager—Lean/Six-Sigma Kaizen events, data-automation scripts, or IBP maturity roadmaps—raising process capability and forecast-value-add year over year.
- • Act as the single point of contact for demand-related escalations during execution horizon; track real-time order patterns, adjust short-term outlooks, and communicate significant deltas to supply, logistics, and customer service teams to protect OTIF metrics.
- • Foster external market orientation: synthesize semiconductor industry cycles, customer design-win pipelines, and channel POS data to anticipate inflection points before they appear in order books.
- • Uphold DuPont’s core values of safety, sustainability, and respect for people; ensure all planning activities comply with ISO-9001, Responsible Care, and internal control standards.
