- • Own the end-to-end deployment of Knowde’s digital marketplace and SaaS solutions across the world’s largest chemical manufacturers, distributors, and buyers—bringing a 5-trillion-dollar industry online for the first time.
- • Build and lead a global deployment organization from the ground up, defining strategy, hiring top talent, and establishing repeatable playbooks that scale across continents and cultures.
- • Translate complex chemical-industry workflows into elegant, phased rollouts that minimize disruption, maximize adoption, and deliver measurable ROI within the first 90 days of go-live.
- • Partner directly with C-suite executives at Fortune 500 chemical companies to secure buy-in, align on success metrics, and co-create change-management programs that transform decades-old processes overnight.
- • Architect data-migration strategies that safely move millions of SKUs, regulatory documents, and pricing records from legacy ERPs, LIMS, and home-grown systems into Knowde’s cloud-native platform.
- • Orchestrate cross-functional teams of solution architects, product managers, regulatory experts, and customer success managers to deliver multi-site, multi-language deployments on aggressive timelines.
- • Establish governance frameworks—KPIs, risk registers, steering committees, and executive dashboards—that keep every stakeholder informed and every milestone on track.
- • Design and run immersive training academies for chemists, sales reps, supply-chain analysts, and customer-service agents, ensuring each user group becomes a confident evangelist for digital commerce.
- • Negotiate and manage deployment budgets ranging from $1M to $50M, optimizing resource allocation across professional services, third-party integrators, and cloud infrastructure.
- • Serve as the voice of the customer inside Knowde, funneling deployment insights back to engineering and product teams to accelerate roadmap priorities and eliminate friction points.
- • Pioneer industry-first best practices—such as automated SDS compliance checks and AI-driven product recommendations—that become competitive moats and market differentiators.
- • Mitigate regulatory and cybersecurity risks inherent in handling sensitive chemical formulations, trade-secret IP, and global trade-compliance data.
- • Create a culture of relentless execution and customer obsession within your organization, celebrating wins, learning from setbacks, and iterating faster than any traditional consultancy can.
- • Travel up to 40 % to customer sites across North America, Europe, and Asia, building trust through face-to-face workshops, plant tours, and executive briefings.
- • Report directly to the COO with full P&L accountability for deployment revenue, margin, and customer NPS, influencing company-wide strategic decisions and investor narratives.
- • Leave a legacy as the leader who dragged an entire industry into the digital age, unlocking billions in market efficiencies and setting the standard for every chemical company that follows.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years leading large-scale enterprise software deployments (ERP, CRM, or marketplace) for Fortune 500 manufacturing or chemical companies
- • Proven track record delivering at least one $20M+ global program on time and on budget
- • Deep familiarity with chemical-industry value chains, regulatory frameworks (REACH, TSCA, GHS), and supply-chain complexity
- • Executive presence and bilingual fluency in English plus one additional language (Spanish, German, or Mandarin preferred)
- • Nice-to-have: MBA or advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Supply-Chain Management, or Digital Transformation
