- • Axon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deployment Program Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex hardware and enterprise-grade SaaS solutions across Canada. This pivotal role is instrumental in ensuring that our cutting-edge technology seamlessly integrates with customer needs, thereby enhancing public safety and empowering communities. You will be at the forefront of aligning technical solutions with strategic customer objectives, guaranteeing that deployments meet stringent timelines, budget constraints, and customer expectations, while also adhering to crucial revenue recognition guidelines. This is a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change within a mission-driven organization that is dedicated to protecting life.
- • As a Deployment Program Manager, you will orchestrate and manage multiple medium to large-scale projects concurrently. Your primary focus will be on meticulous timeline management, rigorous scope control, and diligent budget oversight. You will act as the central point of coordination, ensuring that all project phases are executed efficiently and effectively, from initial planning through to final deployment and customer acceptance.
- • A key aspect of this role involves deep collaboration with our Product and Engineering teams. You will work closely with them to define and refine program requirements, ensuring that all deployments not only meet customer-specific needs but also comply with relevant national and provincial standards and regulations. This cross-functional partnership is essential for delivering solutions that are both innovative and compliant.
- • You will be the primary liaison with a diverse range of stakeholders, including customer representatives, sales teams, product management, and software services leaders. Your ability to engage effectively with these groups will be crucial in defining clear project visions, establishing realistic scope, and setting achievable delivery timelines. Building strong, collaborative relationships will be paramount to success.
- • Strategic program planning is a core responsibility. You will contribute significantly to these activities by implementing and refining effective work estimation processes. This ensures that project plans are grounded in accurate assessments of effort and resources, leading to more predictable and successful outcomes.
- • You will take ownership of program-level change management activities. This involves working closely with both client partners and internal teams to navigate and manage changes effectively, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum alignment with project goals. Your leadership will guide teams through evolving project landscapes.
- • Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation is critical for customer acceptance and accurate revenue recognition. You will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary documentation is created, reviewed, and approved, providing a clear record of project progress and deliverables.
- • As the primary facilitator for project team members and stakeholders, you will ensure seamless communication and coordination across all involved parties. Your role is to foster an environment of clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and efficient collaboration, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards common objectives.
- • Proactive risk management is essential. You will be tasked with identifying potential project risks early on, developing robust mitigation strategies, and proactively addressing any emerging issues to ensure the successful and timely completion of all deployments. Your foresight will prevent potential roadblocks.
- • A significant part of your role will involve delivering foundational training to our customers. This training will be conducted both remotely and in person, supporting the successful adoption and utilization of Axon's comprehensive suite of solutions. Your ability to impart knowledge effectively will directly impact customer satisfaction and product success.
- • You will also play a role in developing the Program Management team. This includes mentoring junior project managers, sharing your expertise, and supporting the recruitment process to attract and retain top talent. Your leadership will help build a stronger, more capable team.
- • This role requires a significant commitment to travel, estimated at 40%-50%, to support deployments and customer engagements across Canada. You will report to the Senior Director, Program Management, and will not have direct reports.
- • Ultimately, your impact will be measured by the successful, on-time, and on-budget delivery of complex enterprise deployments, contributing directly to Axon's mission of protecting life and making communities safer through advanced technology.
