📋 Description
- • Design Engineer II at Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. is responsible for performing network design assignments and resolving circuit design issues to support order fulfillment and ensure timely delivery of telecommunications services.
- • Day-to-day tasks include designing circuits for core network interfaces, reviewing orders for technical correctness, coordinating with Service Activation and Field Technicians during pre-build and customer turn-up, maintaining order status in Salesforce/MSS databases, and tracking circuit installations to meet customer due dates.
- • Zayo provides mission-critical bandwidth infrastructure across North America and Europe, serving carriers, enterprises, and content providers with dark fiber, private data networks, wavelengths, Ethernet, and dedicated Internet access.
- • The role offers opportunities to develop expertise in network design, QoS, IP routing, Ethernet switching, and transport technologies while contributing to customer satisfaction and revenue growth through accurate and timely order fulfillment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent education, training, and/or experience
- • Minimum of three (3) years telecommunications and/or data networking experience
- • Minimum of two (2) years design engineering experience preferred
- • Working knowledge of routers and other data hardware
- • Intermediate knowledge of Data Networking and telecommunications, including understanding of basic bandwidth and services: EoF, 3rd party transport, long haul through our own Network. Products including ELINE, ELAN, Private Line, Dedicated Internet, MPLS
- • Experience using Microsoft Office and Google programs and project management software
