• • As a Desktop Support Specialist at Palette Media LLC, you will be a cornerstone of our internal technology team, playing a pivotal role in ensuring our fast-paced startup operates with seamless and secure technological efficiency. You will be instrumental in providing comprehensive day-to-day technical support to our diverse team, optimizing our existing systems, with a particular focus on Google Workspace, and actively contributing to the evolution and enhancement of our IT processes. This role is designed for an individual who is not only adept at hands-on problem-solving but also possesses a keen eye for process improvement, thriving in the dynamic and ever-changing landscape of a startup environment.
• • Your responsibilities will span across critical areas of IT support and operations. In Desktop & End-User Support, you will be the primary point of contact for all employee technical issues, addressing challenges related to hardware, software, and various Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms. This includes in-depth troubleshooting of macOS systems, ensuring peripherals function correctly, resolving issues with conferencing tools, and maintaining robust network connectivity. A key aspect of this function will be managing the entire device lifecycle, from provisioning new employee setups and onboarding them smoothly into our tech ecosystem, to efficiently handling offboarding processes. You will also be responsible for meticulously maintaining an accurate asset inventory and tracking the lifecycle of all IT equipment, ensuring accountability and facilitating future planning.
• • In the realm of Google Workspace & Systems Optimization, you will take ownership of administering and fine-tuning our Google Workspace environment. This involves managing user accounts, configuring permissions, implementing security policies, and exploring opportunities for automation to streamline operations. You will be tasked with improving our file structures, enhancing file governance, and ensuring operational efficiency across our digital workspace. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and recommending workflow improvements across all internal tools, identifying opportunities to enhance productivity and collaboration for the entire team.
• • For IT Operations & Vendor Management, you will act as the main liaison between Palette Media and our external IT vendors and managed service providers. This includes evaluating potential outsourced IT support solutions and making recommendations for scalable and effective services. You will coordinate all hardware purchasing, manage warranty claims, and oversee service contracts to ensure we have the necessary resources and support. A significant part of this role will involve strengthening our backup systems and proactively identifying and mitigating single points of failure within our IT infrastructure, thereby enhancing our overall resilience.
• • In Process Improvement & Documentation, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for critical IT functions such as onboarding, offboarding, device management, and security protocols. You will actively identify inefficiencies within our current IT processes and implement practical, effective improvements. Additionally, you will support the implementation and enforcement of light security best practices, including enforcing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), managing access controls, and defining device policies to safeguard our company's data and systems.
