By acting as a Merchant of Record, Paddle eliminates the complexities and fragmentation associated with managing payments, offering a faster, safer, cheaper, and superior solution for over 5000 software sellers globally. This role is pivotal in enhancing the developer experience, ensuring that integrating with Paddle is not just functional but a genuine delight for developers.
• • As a Developer Advocate with a strong focus on content, you will be instrumental in shaping and producing the materials that define the developer's journey with Paddle. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a dynamic blend of content creation, technical understanding, and collaborative communication. You will craft a wide array of content, ranging from concise changelog entries that keep users informed of the latest updates, to in-depth long-form guides and practical tutorials that empower developers to leverage Paddle's full capabilities. This content will directly engage both prospective and existing customers, serving as a critical touchpoint in their interaction with our platform. A significant part of your role will be to proactively identify opportunities to enhance the Developer Experience (DX) team's impact, working both internally and externally to understand developer needs and pain points. You will collaborate closely with product owners, product marketing teams, and designers to produce compelling copy that is not only technically accurate but also engaging and persuasive. A core function will be documenting new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. This involves a meticulous process of gathering, organizing, and synthesizing technical information from engineers, product managers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring that all documentation is clear, comprehensive, and up-to-date. You will also play a key role in guiding the presentation and writing of our API documentation, ensuring it adheres to the highest standards of clarity and usability. Implementing and maintaining technical documentation standards will be crucial to ensuring consistency and quality across all our developer-facing materials. Furthermore, you will be responsible for proactively seeking feedback from both colleagues and customers. This continuous feedback loop is essential for ensuring that all documentation and content remain relevant, accurate, and valuable to our developer community, driving ongoing improvement and user satisfaction.
• • You will be joining the Developer Experience team, a group dedicated to making the implementation of Paddle a seamless and positive experience. This team is responsible for refining the Paddle API to be intuitive yet powerful, and for building product features that simplify the onboarding process. Your work will directly support these efforts by providing the world-class documentation, examples, and tooling that developers rely on. You will collaborate with a global network of product managers, designers, and developers, fostering a shared vision for exceptional developer experience.
