- • Drive Prefect's event strategy from conception to execution, transforming our vibrant developer communities into valuable commercial revenue streams through the cultivation of authentic, technically-driven relationships.
- • You will be entrusted with the complete lifecycle of our event presence, encompassing the strategic identification of pertinent conferences and the meticulous design of world-class, developer-centric experiences engineered to attract and engage data engineers, MCP Context engineers, and AI/ML engineers, drawing them into our expanding ecosystem.
- • Spearhead the growth and recognition of the PyAI brand through proactive and strategic community engagement initiatives, simultaneously leveraging Prefect's physical spaces to amplify both community impact and customer acquisition, thereby fueling our product-led sales motion.
- • Develop and execute comprehensive, multi-faceted event strategies that span all Prefect products, meticulously defining the optimal program mix, planning a strategic calendar, and precisely targeting key audience segments.
- • Collaborate directly and intimately with the leadership team to ensure unwavering alignment on critical event priorities and the strategic importance of our presence at various engagements.
- • Take full ownership of budget planning, rigorous ROI measurement, and transparent performance reporting for all event-related initiatives, ensuring accountability and demonstrating value.
- • Lead the seamless execution of both hosted and sponsored events across diverse global markets, expertly managing all logistical intricacies, financial allocations, vendor relationships, and onsite operational activities.
- • Foster robust cross-functional collaboration to meticulously coordinate speaker preparation, optimize booth presence for maximum impact, and orchestrate engaging attendee experiences.
- • Design and implement innovative experiences that powerfully showcase Prefect's cutting-edge platforms to a discerning audience of data engineers, ML engineers, and other technical practitioners.
- • Skillfully manage a portfolio of multiple events concurrently, attending key flagship events in person while providing remote, expert coordination for others, ensuring a consistent and high-quality presence.
- • Own the end-to-end execution of critical customer advisory events, working in close partnership with product and sales teams to gather invaluable feedback and drive strategic alignment.
- • Initiate and expertly manage a suite of online community initiatives, including dynamic forums, engaging user groups, and impactful ambassador programs, fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose.

🎯 Requirements

- • A strong background in developer advocacy, developer relations, or technical community building, enabling credible engagement with engineers, introduction of technical speakers, and insightful conversations about Python, data infrastructure, or AI tooling.
- • Proven success in launching and scaling community programs, such as forums, user groups, and ambassador programs, with measurable outcomes.
- • Demonstrated experience working with technical audiences within infrastructure, DevOps, API, or data engineering sectors.
- • A robust, metrics-driven approach to measuring and driving community growth and engagement.
- • Experience coordinating effectively with engineering and product teams to amplify technical content and thought leadership.
