Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own end-to-end sales enablement for PostHog’s sales team, creating and maintaining battlecards, talk tracks, discovery questions, and objection-handling guides that are actively used in deals.
- • Translate product positioning and messaging from Product Marketing Managers into practical, sales-ready materials that align with how engineers and developers actually use PostHog’s tools.
- • Fill critical positioning gaps for platform features and product areas without dedicated PMMs, ensuring sales has a clear, consistent story across the entire product suite.
- • Extract actionable insights from real customer conversations by analyzing Gong recordings, Slack threads, and support tickets to inform messaging, content, and product improvements.
- • Ship high-impact enablement content weekly — including launch enablement packs, FAQs, training sessions, and competitive intelligence briefs — with rapid iteration based on direct sales feedback.
- • Maintain all sales enablement materials in PostHog’s public handbook as the single source of truth, ensuring transparency and accessibility for the entire sales team.
- • Collaborate closely with sales reps, product marketers, engineers, and users to ensure messaging reflects real-world usage, technical nuances, and customer pain points.
- • Be a visible, trusted voice for PostHog, translating between technical product teams and sales teams to bridge communication gaps and drive deal velocity.
- • Stay ahead of PostHog’s fast-moving product roadmap — shipping over a dozen products including data warehouse, CDP, and Max AI — and ensure sales materials evolve in lockstep with product changes.
- • Focus exclusively on developer-centric audiences, leveraging firsthand understanding of developer workflows, tooling preferences, and technical objections to craft resonant messaging.
- • Work in an async-first, meeting-free environment with Tuesdays and Thursdays designated as heads-down building days, prioritizing shipping over coordination.
- • Operate with full autonomy: choose what to work on next based on what will have the biggest impact on sales outcomes and customer success, not top-down directives.
- • Avoid writing whitepapers, mission statements, or sales decks that aren’t used; no formal certification programs, quarterly training cycles, or low-impact webinars.
- • Do not own CRM, sales ops, or pipeline metrics — those are owned by the sales team; your role is strictly enablement and messaging.
- • Embrace PostHog’s culture of being weird: redesigning content for the 5th time, shipping unnecessary developer toys, and prioritizing bold, unconventional approaches that stand out.
- • Work within a globally distributed, remote-only team spanning GMT-5 to GMT+2 time zones, with all collaboration happening asynchronously via PRs, handbook updates, and documentation.
- • Contribute to a company with 100,000+ companies using PostHog, funded with $100M+, and growing revenue at 10% MoM — all while maintaining extreme operational efficiency.
🎯 Requirements
- • Excellent writing, researching, and communication skills
- • Development experience, though not necessarily in a formal role — vibecoded side projects still count
- • Experience targeting developers as customers or writing for technical audiences
- • Experience building and maintaining sales enablement content that's actually used
- • Comfort working closely with Sales as your primary internal customer
🏖️ Benefits
- • Full-remote work with autonomy over schedule and priorities
- • Access to PostHog’s public company handbook with full transparency on strategy, compensation, and decision-making
- • Meeting-free Tuesdays and Thursdays to prioritize deep, focused work
- • Opportunity to work on a rapidly growing product-led company with $100M+ funding and 10% MoM revenue growth
- • Culture that rewards being weird, shipping fast, and building tools developers love
- • Transparent compensation structure with publicly available calculator
Skills & Technologies
About PostHog Inc.
PostHog provides an open-source product analytics platform that lets teams track user behavior, run A/B tests, and gather feedback without sending data to third parties. The self-hosted or cloud service captures events, pageviews, feature flags, and session recordings, then surfaces insights through dashboards, funnels, retention, and cohort analysis. Engineers can instrument code once and non-technical teammates can query results using SQL or visual builders. The company maintains the core project under an MIT license and offers paid tiers for enterprise support, higher volumes, and advanced features such as correlation analysis, data pipelines, and team collaboration tools.
