- • The Development Officer supports the Oceania Development team at The Nature Conservancy by managing administrative, coordination, and operational functions to advance regional fundraising priorities across Australia, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and sending donor thank-you communications, managing the Director of Development’s calendar, coordinating team and cross-departmental meetings, maintaining donor databases (including BBCRM and MailChimp), conducting donor due diligence, supporting event logistics, and assisting with file management and vendor liaison.
- • The Oceania Development team is part of a global science-based conservation organization dedicated to protecting lands and waters, with a mission-driven culture that values inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation in addressing environmental challenges.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in donor stewardship, nonprofit fundraising operations, database management, and cross-functional collaboration while contributing to mission-critical initiatives that support conservation outcomes in the Oceania region.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience or equivalent combination
- • Experience building relationships with staff and external stakeholders
- • Experience managing databases, generating reports, and interpreting data
- • Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people
- • Experience prioritizing and managing varied activities and competing priorities to meet deadlines
