📋 Description

• Own the beating heart of BJAK’s infrastructure. You will architect, build, and continuously evolve the cloud and container platforms that power Southeast Asia’s largest insurance platform, serving millions of users and processing billions in premiums every year. Your work will directly determine how fast we ship, how safely we scale, and how confidently we enter new global markets.
• Design and harden CI/CD pipelines that turn every pull request into a production-ready artifact within minutes. You will standardise build, test, and release workflows across dozens of micro-services, enforce quality gates, and enable engineers to deploy multiple times a day with zero downtime.
• Run and scale Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS, or self-managed) that host everything from high-traffic public APIs to internal data pipelines. You will tune cluster autoscaling, resource quotas, and pod disruption budgets so that traffic spikes during flash sales or regulatory filings never degrade customer experience.
• Codify every piece of infrastructure with Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation. From VPC topology and IAM roles to RDS instances and Redis caches, every change will be peer-reviewed, version-controlled, and rolled out safely through automated pipelines.
• Build bullet-proof observability. Deploy Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Datadog to collect metrics, logs, and traces; craft SLOs and error budgets; set up intelligent alerts that wake the right person at 3 a.m. only when it truly matters.
• Be the first responder when production cries. Debug 502s, pod crashes, OOM kills, DNS hiccups, or certificate expiry before users notice. Run blameless post-mortems, turn incidents into runbooks, and automate the fix so the issue never repeats.
• Champion security at every layer. Rotate secrets with Vault, enforce least-privilege IAM policies, segment networks with Kubernetes NetworkPolicies, and scan every container image for CVEs before it reaches the registry.
• Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with backend, mobile, and data engineers to define deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling), optimise JVM or Node.js runtimes, and ensure new features meet latency budgets before they hit main.
• Drive cost efficiency without compromising reliability. Right-size EC2 instances, leverage spot and reserved capacity, and build auto-shutdown jobs for non-production workloads to keep cloud spend predictable and transparent.
• Contribute to an open, flat culture where titles matter less than impact. Propose new tools, run internal tech talks, and mentor junior engineers who want to level up in cloud-native technologies.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or demonstrable equivalent experience
• 3+ years hands-on experience managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters and containerised workloads
• Proven expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) including networking, IAM, and managed services
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills using Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar
• Proficiency in scripting and automation with Bash, Python, or Groovy
