Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Swarmer’s infrastructure, from the first line of Terraform to the last byte of telemetry. You’ll architect and operate the backbone that lets our AI-managed drone fleets learn, adapt, and execute missions in real-world defense scenarios.
- • Design, implement, and continuously refine CI/CD pipelines that ship robotics and AI/ML code to cloud and edge environments multiple times per day. Your pipelines will gatekeep quality, enforce security policies, and roll back instantly when anomalies are detected.
- • Deploy and tune cloud infrastructure on AWS for heavy-duty data ingestion, GPU-accelerated model training, and large-scale simulation workloads. You’ll right-size clusters, negotiate spot pricing, and squeeze every millisecond out of EKS, S3, and Kinesis so that our autonomy stack trains faster than the adversary evolves.
- • Administer hardened Linux systems in our Warsaw labs and forward-deployed test ranges. From PXE-booting bare-metal servers to configuring SELinux policies that satisfy military-grade compliance, you’ll keep kernels patched, logs centralized, and secrets vaulted.
- • Automate everything that moves—or flies. Use Ansible, Terraform, and custom Python to provision networks, storage, and compute in minutes instead of days. Your playbooks will be the single source of truth that lets new engineers spin up a full simulation environment with one command.
- • Integrate Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes to orchestrate microservices that span cloud VPCs and on-prem GPU rigs. You’ll craft Helm charts that abstract vendor-specific quirks so that our autonomy modules deploy identically from a developer laptop to a forward operating base.
- • Champion security by design. Implement zero-trust networking, mutual TLS, and runtime scanning so that every container, VM, and bare-metal node is continuously verified. You’ll work with our security officers to pass defense-sector audits without slowing delivery.
- • Provide self-service tooling that lets robotics engineers run 10,000-agent simulations overnight. Your dashboards will surface GPU utilization, network latency, and cost per training epoch so teams can experiment fearlessly and budget responsibly.
- • Monitor, alert, and autoscale across cloud and edge. You’ll wire Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki into Slack and PagerDuty, turning terabytes of metrics into actionable insights. When a simulation job spikes to 512 GPUs at 3 a.m., your autoscaler will handle it before anyone wakes up.
- • Support field integration by packaging autonomy binaries into ruggedized edge devices. You’ll create reproducible OS images, secure boot chains, and over-the-air update mechanisms that work over low-bandwidth tactical links.
- • Collaborate daily with AI researchers, robotics engineers, and product managers. You’ll translate fuzzy requirements (“make the drones smarter, faster”) into concrete SLOs, capacity plans, and runbooks.
- • Contribute to open-source communities and internal guilds. Whether you’re upstreaming a Kubernetes patch or leading a lunch-and-learn on eBPF, you’ll raise the technical bar for the entire organization.
- • Document tribal knowledge in GitBook and architecture decision records. Your diagrams and post-mortems will become the onboarding bible for future Swarmer engineers.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of hands-on DevOps, SRE, or Linux systems engineering experience
- • Deep Linux administration skills and fluency in bash and Python scripting
- • Proven expertise with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- • Production-grade experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms like ArgoCD
- • Strong grasp of network protocols and Linux networking stack
- • English B2 or higher for daily collaboration with international partners
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits: private medical insurance, paid sick leave, and 20 paid vacation days per year
- • Direct impact on Ukraine’s defense-tech ecosystem and its global expansion
- • Defense-sector perks including military reservation status and related advantages
- • Flexible remote-first culture with the option to commute to the Warsaw office when needed
- • Professional growth through exposure to cutting-edge UAV autonomy and international DevOps best practices
