ďż˝ Description
- • Own and evolve the cloud backbone that powers Token Metrics’ AI-driven crypto analytics platform, serving investors in 50+ countries. You will architect, secure, and scale our multi-cloud estate (AWS primary, Google Cloud secondary) to guarantee 99.9 %+ uptime for real-time indices, rankings, and price-prediction engines.
- • Engineer bullet-proof observability: design and deploy automated alerting, log aggregation, metrics pipelines, and distributed tracing so that anomalies are caught and resolved before customers feel them. Your dashboards will become the single pane of glass for engineering, data-science, and customer-success teams.
- • Automate everything. Build Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) that provisions VPCs, Kubernetes clusters, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, Pub/Sub, and serverless functions in minutes, not days. Create CI/CD blue-green and canary pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Flux) that shrink lead-time from commit to production to under 15 minutes.
- • Harden security end-to-end: implement IAM least-privilege policies, Secrets Manager rotation, WAF rules, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and container image scanning. Run chaos-engineering drills and game-days to validate disaster-recovery playbooks and ensure SOC-2 readiness.
- • Optimize cost and performance. Right-size EC2/GCE instances, leverage Spot/Preemptible fleets, tune K8s resource requests/limits, and implement auto-scaling policies that keep latency < 100 ms at 10× traffic spikes without breaking the budget.
- • Be the escalation hero. Own the on-call rotation, respond to PagerDuty alerts within SLA, perform root-cause analyses (RCAs), and feed learnings back into automation to prevent recurrence. Build self-healing runbooks and ChatOps bots that let any engineer resolve common issues in Slack.
- • Supercharge the team. Mentor junior admins and DevOps engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and champion SRE best practices (SLOs, error budgets, blameless post-mortems). Your documentation (Confluence, runbooks, ADRs) will enable anyone to understand and operate the platform.
- • Drive continuous improvement. Evaluate emerging tools (e.g., eBPF observability, service mesh, policy-as-code) and run proof-of-concepts that keep Token Metrics at the cutting edge of crypto fintech infrastructure.
ďż˝ Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent professional experience
- • 2+ years hands-on experience administering AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda) and working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
- • Professional certification such as AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, or Cisco CCNA/CCNP
- • Solid grasp of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD)
- • Demonstrated ability to design and maintain secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud environments
- • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills with a passion for automation and continuous learning
️ Benefits
- • Fully remote-first culture with flexible hours—work from Lisbon or anywhere in the world
- • Competitive salary benchmarked to global crypto-fintech standards
- • Annual training and certification budget to keep your skills sharp (conferences, courses, exams)
- • Generous token allocation and performance bonuses tied to company growth
- • 25 days paid vacation plus local public holidays, and a quarterly wellness stipend for gym, co-working, or ergonomic gear
