📋 Description

  • Join Nord Security, a rapidly growing global leader dedicated to building a safer cyber future for individuals and businesses alike. We are on a mission to empower our users to regain control over their online security, privacy, and data. Our comprehensive suite of products, including industry-leading VPNs, robust password managers, cutting-edge threat intelligence platforms, and convenient eSIMs for seamless travel, are trusted by millions worldwide. As our digital lives become increasingly intertwined with the online realm, the need for secure and private internet access has never been more critical. This is where you come in. We are seeking a talented and motivated DevSecOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in enhancing our security posture and ensuring the integrity of our rapidly expanding infrastructure.
  • In this Mid-Senior DevSecOps Engineer role, based in our vibrant Warsaw office, you will be instrumental in embedding security practices throughout our software development lifecycle (SDLC). You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks, ensuring that our products and services remain resilient against evolving cyber threats. Your expertise will directly contribute to the trust and reliability that our millions of users place in Nord Security.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to champion and implement DevSecOps principles, fostering a culture of security ownership across all engineering disciplines. This involves automating security controls, integrating security testing into CI/CD pipelines, and developing robust monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to potential security incidents. You will be a key player in building and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available systems that underpin our global operations.
  • You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and managing security tools and technologies that support our development and operational workflows. This includes, but is not limited to, vulnerability scanners, static and dynamic analysis tools (SAST/DAST), secrets management solutions, infrastructure as code (IaC) security, and container security. Your proactive approach will ensure that security is not an afterthought but an integral part of our engineering DNA.
  • A significant part of your role will involve working with cloud-native technologies and infrastructure, likely within AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. You will be responsible for securing these environments, implementing best practices for access control, network security, and data protection. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes will be essential for deploying and managing our applications securely and efficiently.
  • You will also play a crucial role in incident response, helping to investigate security breaches, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. This requires a deep understanding of security principles, threat landscapes, and effective troubleshooting techniques. Your ability to remain calm and analytical under pressure will be highly valued.
  • Furthermore, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our security policies, standards, and procedures. This includes staying abreast of the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements relevant to our industry. You will be expected to provide guidance and training to other engineering teams on security best practices, fostering a shared responsibility for security across the organization.
  • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work hand-in-hand with software developers to integrate security into their coding practices, assisting them in identifying and remediating vulnerabilities early in the development cycle. You will also partner with operations teams to ensure the secure deployment and ongoing management of our infrastructure, focusing on automation and reliability.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash). Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible, and a solid grasp of cloud security best practices are paramount. You should be comfortable working in an agile environment and possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on the security of millions of users worldwide. You will be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking company that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. If you are passionate about cybersecurity and thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply and help us build a more secure digital world.

🎯 Requirements

  • Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on security within the SDLC.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security principles and experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with security tools such as SAST/DAST, vulnerability scanners, and secrets management.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and CI/CD pipelines.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health insurance package.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning, including access to training, conferences, and certifications.
  • Generous paid time off and flexible working arrangements.
  • A dynamic and collaborative work environment with a team of passionate cybersecurity professionals.
  • Modern office space in Warsaw with amenities.
