📋 Description

• Lead finance technology diagnostic processes for clients across ERP, CRM, EPM, and adjacent systems, often focusing on a specific area based on the diagnostic needs
• Deliver targeted advisory on finance technology strategy, solution architecture, and technology transformation initiatives
• Facilitate impartial vendor selection processes by managing competitive evaluations while maintaining independent advisory standing
• Provide authoritative insights on AI and automation in the finance function, including value-add potential, implementation risks, and organizational readiness
• Rapidly synthesize data and client interactions to generate technology advisory recommendations that drive finance-focused value creation
• Lead the technology workstream in transaction-related scenarios such as carve-outs, integrations, and first-100-day planning
• Define and communicate finance systems architecture recommendations, both for new designs and for interpreting the impact of existing architectures to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Operate as a programme-level orchestrator on large-scale technology engagements, integrating deep specialist resources (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Anaplan) to deliver unified outcomes
• Oversee the delivery of complex technology transformation programmes spanning multiple workstreams within the finance function
• Integrate with other Accordion practices—including Data and Analytics, Strategic Finance, and Transformation—to deliver cross-functional performance improvements
• Manage large, complex project budgets and engagement economics on behalf of the broader project team
• Coach and guide project teams to achieve A+ delivery standards for clients
• Own key client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs, finance leaders, and private equity operating partners
• Originate follow-on work through consistent, high-quality delivery and client satisfaction
• Scope, price, and propose new advisory engagements independently
• Contribute to market-facing business development by supporting opportunity origination, proposal development, RFP responses, and relationship building at both PE sponsor and portfolio company levels
• Play a central role in growing and developing the CFO Technology Practice across the UK and Europe
• Operate effectively in the fast-paced, high-urgency environment typical of private equity-backed businesses, managing compressed timelines and demanding performance expectations
• Produce written deliverables—including board packs, diagnostic outputs, and strategic recommendations—to the high standard expected by PE operating partners and portfolio company management teams
• Navigate senior stakeholders with credibility and confidence, balancing strategic vision with operational detail
• Bring clarity to ambiguous technology and finance problems, moving fluidly between high-level strategy and granular execution
• Work autonomously within small teams with high accountability, adapting to dynamic client needs and shifting priorities

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in technology and digital-related roles with consulting experience required
• Extensive experience advising and/or delivering technology solutions for private equity-backed businesses
• Strong, diverse experience across finance functions and related processes, including deep understanding of how finance operates beyond just the supporting systems
• Technology solution architecture experience defining finance systems architecture from scratch and explaining implications of existing architectures to technical and management audiences
• Breadth of exposure across multiple finance and business technologies (e.g., ERP, CRM, EPM, BI, automation tooling), with preference for breadth over single-system depth
• Experience overseeing complex transformation or technology programmes within the finance function
