- • Directive Consulting LLC is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager (Remote Canada) to drive performance marketing results for B2B SaaS clients using their proprietary Customer Generation methodology, which prioritizes SQLs and customer acquisition over traditional metrics like MQLs. This role is critical to expanding Directive’s demand generation capabilities and ensuring clients consistently hit their sales-qualified lead targets through integrated paid media, SEO, CRO, and video strategies.
- • You will own end-to-end performance marketing for no more than seven SMB client accounts, serving as the primary point of contact responsible for strategy, execution, client communication, and measurable outcomes — blending deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to exceed expectations and build long-term client trust.

- • You will lead client kickoffs, strategy sessions, and quarterly business reviews, presenting performance insights and optimization plans with clarity and confidence, while managing timelines, budgets, and cross-functional coordination to ensure campaigns launch on time and deliver ROI.
- • You will conduct deep audits of client paid media (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta), SEO technical health, and conversion rate optimization opportunities, using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and HubSpot to identify gaps and prioritize high-impact tests.
- • You will collaborate closely with internal specialists in SEO, content, and creative to ensure alignment across channels, leveraging Directive’s Customer Generation framework to craft cohesive funnels that nurture leads from awareness to SQL.
- • You will proactively identify upsell and expansion opportunities within client accounts by monitoring performance trends and advising on budget reallocations or new channel tests based on data-driven forecasts.
- • You will maintain meticulous project documentation in Asana or similar platforms, ensuring transparency, accountability, and smooth handoffs while adhering to Directive’s internal SLAs for reporting frequency and client responsiveness.
- • You will stay ahead of emerging trends in AI-powered marketing automation, predictive analytics, and privacy-compliant tracking, actively experimenting with new tools to enhance campaign efficiency and client reporting.
- • You will contribute to internal knowledge sharing by documenting best practices, presenting learnings in team forums, and helping refine Directive’s methodologies based on real-world client results.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of experience in agency-side marketing, specifically managing performance campaigns for B2B or SaaS clients
- • 2+ years of hands-on experience in performance marketing across paid media (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta), SEO, and conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- • Proven ability to act as a T-shaped marketer with deep technical expertise in at least one channel (paid, SEO, or CRO) and strong working knowledge of the others
- • Demonstrated success in project managing multiple client accounts simultaneously, delivering campaigns on time and within budget
- • Experience interfacing directly with clients, presenting strategy and performance reports with clarity, confidence, and empathy
- • Strong familiarity with SaaS business models, metrics (CAC, LTV, payback period), and buyer journeys
- • Comfort with data analysis and reporting using platforms like Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMrush, Ahrefs, HubSpot, or similar
- • Availability to travel occasionally for team events or client meetings (in-person or virtual)
