- • As a Digital Workplace Sr. System Engineer at The AES Corporation, you will be a pivotal member of a global team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology solutions that prioritize user experience. You will play a primary role in the support, management, and advancement of AES’s VMware Horizon View virtual desktop environment, ensuring its optimal performance, reliability, and scalability across our extensive global enterprise.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the hands-on management and optimization of FSLogix profiles and App Volumes, crucial for efficient application delivery and a seamless user experience. You will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing AES’s virtual infrastructure, working collaboratively with global teams to drive performance improvements and uphold best practices.
- • A key aspect of this role involves creating and maintaining software deployment packages, spearheading automation initiatives, and developing process improvements designed to enhance scalability and enable self-service capabilities for end-users. You will be tasked with evaluating software requests, providing expert recommendations that align with AES’s strategic business needs and industry-leading standards.
- • You will be the go-to expert for advanced troubleshooting of complex issues within the virtual environment and endpoint systems, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum uptime. A critical part of your role will be to analyze and mitigate security vulnerabilities, ensuring strict adherence to AES’s global security and operational policies, thereby safeguarding company data and systems.
- • Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, establishing clear standards, and defining robust procedures for the digital workplace technologies. This includes providing essential technical guidance to your team members, effectively engaging with technology vendors, and actively supporting budget and lifecycle planning for all digital workplace technologies.
- • This position is integral to the Digital Workplace Experience (DWX) organization, a key component of AES’s broader digital transformation efforts. You will contribute to a consistent and secure user experience that meets AES’s global standards for performance, supportability, and data protection, spanning device management systems, end-user hardware, and printers.
- • You will be responsible for endpoint configuration management across a diverse range of devices, including PCs, tablets, and phones. This includes managing application deployment, client virtualization strategies, and overseeing printer management to ensure a unified and efficient end-user computing environment.
- • As part of the Global Digital Workplace Experience & Collaborations team, you will directly contribute to delivering modern digital experiences with a strong emphasis on user satisfaction and operational reliability. Your work will ensure that AES employees worldwide have access to an optimized, secure, and high-performing virtual desktop experience, accessible from any location and on any device.
- • The role requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can manage change and conflict with an optimistic outlook, collaborate effectively across diverse teams to enhance productivity and create synergies, and demonstrate resilience by solving problems and learning from experiences.
- • You will be the primary technical owner of AES’s VMware Horizon View virtual desktop environment, ensuring its stability, performance, and scalability. This involves deep technical expertise in managing and optimizing the virtual infrastructure to meet the demands of a global enterprise.
