- • As Director of Client Services for Workforce Absence at Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc., you will lead strategic account management for complex, high-value clients, driving retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth while overseeing multidisciplinary teams delivering workforce absence solutions. This role is pivotal in ensuring clients receive seamless, compliant, and innovative service during critical moments of employee absence, directly impacting organizational resilience and employee well-being.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include providing stewardship reporting to clients on emerging trends and program performance; conducting pre-renewal visits to assess loss experience and proactively address dissatisfaction; leading contract renewals, revisions, and Client Service Instruction development for jumbo accounts; negotiating service plan enhancements; coordinating cross-departmental efforts with IT, operations, and business development to eliminate process and technology barriers; managing client invoicing, audits, and accounts receivable; resolving escalated customer service issues; identifying cross-selling opportunities; supervising and mentoring Account Representatives and other client-facing staff; ensuring adherence to quality initiatives; and participating in industry education and professional associations to stay current on regulatory and market developments.

- • In this role, you will develop advanced expertise in strategic account leadership within the workers’ compensation, liability, and disability claims landscape; refine your ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority; deepen your knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality frameworks; and strengthen your leadership presence through mentoring, performance management, and organizational influence—positioning you for continued advancement in client services, operations, or enterprise leadership within Sedgwick or the broader risk management industry.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred; CPCU, AIC, ARM, or related professional designation strongly preferred.
- • Ten (10) years of related experience required, including either two (2) years as an Account Manager or five (5) years as an Adjuster with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
- • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication, presentation, negotiation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and in-depth knowledge of workers’ compensation, liability, disability claims management, and client servicing principles.
