Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the strategic direction for Accordion’s most critical portfolio-company engagements, acting as the senior finance leader who translates private-equity investment theses into executable, value-accelerating roadmaps. You will quarterback cross-functional teams of analysts, associates, and VPs to deliver EBITDA improvements, cash-flow optimization, and exit-readiness within 12- to 24-month horizons.
- • Serve as the primary relationship manager for PE sponsors and C-suite executives, presenting at weekly operating partner calls, board meetings, and lender updates. Your ability to distill complex financial analytics into concise, decision-ready insights will directly influence follow-on acquisitions, dividend recaps, and exit timing.
- • Architect and deploy Accordion’s proprietary AI-enabled analytics stack—leveraging Power BI, Snowflake, and Python-based models—to surface margin-leakage, pricing elasticity, and working-capital opportunities. You will push the boundaries of how data science accelerates value creation in middle-market portfolio companies.
- • Lead diligence-to-close integration planning for add-on acquisitions, designing 100-day plans that harmonize charts of accounts, implement zero-based budgeting, and unlock cost synergies within the first fiscal quarter post-close.
- • Build and mentor a distributed, high-performing team of 10-15 finance professionals across North America and Europe. Through weekly coaching sessions, quarterly OKR reviews, and real-time feedback loops, you will cultivate the next generation of PE finance leaders.
- • Drive pricing-strategy workstreams that translate market intelligence into actionable revenue uplift. You will oversee conjoint analyses, competitive benchmarking, and contract-renegotiation playbooks that routinely deliver 200-400 bps of margin expansion.
- • Champion ESG and sustainability initiatives within portfolio companies, embedding carbon-reduction KPIs into management dashboards and aligning reporting with SASB and TCFD frameworks to enhance exit multiples.
- • Partner with Accordion’s internal Product & Technology group to beta-test new AI modules, providing voice-of-client feedback that shapes the roadmap for predictive cash-flow forecasting and automated variance commentary.
- • Orchestrate liquidity events by preparing quality-of-earnings reports, management-presentation decks, and data-room structures that withstand Big-4 and investment-bank scrutiny. Your fingerprints will be on every successful exit—IPO, SPAC, or strategic sale.
- • Instill a culture of continuous improvement by codifying best practices into Accordion’s knowledge base, hosting quarterly virtual summits, and publishing thought-leadership pieces that reinforce the firm’s reputation as the go-to PE value-creation partner.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years of progressive finance leadership within private-equity-backed environments, including at least 5 years directing value-creation initiatives as a VP or higher
- • Demonstrated mastery of data-analytics tools—SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Alteryx, or Python—and a track record of deploying AI/ML models to uncover margin opportunities
- • Experience managing multi-workstream engagements across industrials, SaaS, consumer, and healthcare sectors with deal sizes ranging from $50M to $2B enterprise value
- • MBA, CPA, or CFA credential (or equivalent international certification) combined with proven ability to communicate fluently with PE operating partners and lenders
- • Authorization to work in the United States and willingness to travel up to 25% for onsite portfolio-company workshops and sponsor meetings
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote-first culture with quarterly, all-expenses-paid team summits in destinations such as Miami, Lisbon, or Aspen
- • Competitive base salary plus uncapped performance bonus tied directly to portfolio-company exit multiples and internal team development metrics
- • Annual $5,000 professional-development stipend for certifications, conferences, or executive-education courses at Wharton, Columbia, or London Business School
- • Premium health, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents, plus a $1,000 annual wellness allowance for gym memberships, therapy apps, or mindfulness retreats
- • 20 days PTO, 10 firm-wide mental-health recharge days, and a one-month paid sabbatical after every four years of service
