- • Lead and direct a high-performing financial shared service organization, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class accounting and finance support to Warner Music Group's US Recorded Music and Publishing businesses.
- • Oversee the General Accounting function, encompassing all aspects of the general ledger, including meticulous monthly close processes, comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, accurate intercompany accounting, complex consolidations, and robust asset accounting.
- • Collaborate closely with the team to ensure the timely and accurate completion of submissions to corporate finance, including the thorough review of all related schedules required for monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
- • Act as a key liaison with both internal and external auditors, ensuring strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This includes the proactive drafting and updating of process narratives and the diligent maintenance of all necessary compliance documentation.
- • Drive the reporting and analytics function, providing essential insights and data as required by various business units and corporate leadership.
- • Implement and maintain effective financial internal controls, proactively identifying and remediating any control gaps to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- • Guarantee the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements by rigorously investigating and monitoring discrepancies against established expectations, providing clear and concise explanations for any variances.
- • Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of accounting managers and analysts, both onshore and offshore, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
- • Manage the integration of acquired businesses into WMG's financial systems and processes, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
- • Provide comprehensive oversight of the Fixed Assets accounting process, ensuring compliance with WMG's policies and GAAP.
- • Offer critical support and guidance on all intercompany activities, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation and reporting.
- • Oversee the preparation of all supporting schedules required for quarterly financial filings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- • Undertake and deliver on special projects as requested by business units and corporate leadership, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
- • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders, cultivating and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with various business unit finance organizations, including their respective CFOs and VPs of Finance.
- • Foster a culture of continuous process improvement, identifying and implementing definable projects that result in measurable cost savings and operational efficiencies across the organization.
- • Facilitate seamless communication and bridge any gaps between the Finance, Accounting, IT, Strategy, and Operations departments, promoting cross-functional alignment.
- • Develop, recommend, and implement strategic initiatives for all Financial Shared Services functions, aligning with WMG's overall business objectives.
- • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget, providing insightful commentary and actionable recommendations.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, proactively resolving potential issues and addressing new transactions.
- • Leverage Blackline software to automate and monitor closing tasks within the area of oversight, ensuring compliance with leadership initiatives related to its utilization.

- • Contribute to the overall financial health and operational efficiency of Warner Music Group by providing expert accounting leadership and strategic direction.
