- • As the Director, AI Licensing at Gracenote, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of entertainment data within the rapidly evolving Artificial Intelligence landscape. This is a pivotal leadership role, demanding a visionary executive with a proven track record in commercial strategy, business development, and strategic partnerships, specifically within the AI ecosystem. Your primary mission will be to establish Gracenote as the undisputed premier entertainment data partner for leading AI models and their associated ecosystems, driving significant revenue growth and market penetration.
- • You will be instrumental in developing and leading direct customer engagements, forging strategic, revenue-generating deals with native AI companies. This involves acting as the primary point of contact and the 'tip of the spear' to identify, cultivate, and secure this entirely new and critical customer base. Your ability to understand the unique needs and opportunities within the AI sector will be paramount in building strong, lasting relationships.
- • A core aspect of your role will be to conceptualize, develop, and execute a compelling and forward-thinking vision for engaging the broader AI ecosystem. This encompasses not only negotiating landmark licensing deals that set new industry standards but also driving deep content integrations with leading model developers and other key players within the AI value chain. Your strategic foresight will ensure Gracenote's data is leveraged effectively and innovatively.
- • You will design and implement robust go-to-market strategies and comprehensive enablement programs. These initiatives will be crucial in upskilling and empowering Gracenote's commercial organization, equipping them with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively drive adoption of our current and future AI-related offerings. This includes training on new products, licensing models, and value propositions tailored for AI applications.
- • Acting as the crucial commercial counterpart to the Gracenote AI Product Lead, you will serve as the 'voice of the customer' internally. Your insights and feedback from the market will be fundamental in shaping our product roadmap, guiding innovation, and ensuring our data solutions directly address the evolving demands of AI development and deployment.
- • A key responsibility will be the creation and deployment of innovative licensing models and sophisticated valuation frameworks. These will be designed to accommodate the unique ways content and data are utilized in AI grounding, training, retrieval, and a wide array of other emerging AI use cases. This requires a deep understanding of data economics and AI methodologies.
- • You will act as a high-visibility sponsor for our most significant AI accounts and strategic partnerships. This involves orchestrating executive-level engagement, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations, and ensuring swift, effective, and proactive resolution of any challenges or opportunities that arise.
- • Collaboration will be central to your success. You will partner strategically and seamlessly with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Finance teams across the organization. Your role will be to support the entire partnership lifecycle, from initial negotiation and deal structuring through to successful global rollout and ongoing management.
- • You will be a prominent representative of Gracenote at major industry conferences, trade shows, and partner forums. In this capacity, you will serve as a key evangelist for our AI strategy, articulating our vision, highlighting our capabilities, and reinforcing Gracenote's position as a leader in entertainment data for AI.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to define and lead Gracenote's commercial strategy in one of the most dynamic and transformative technology sectors. You will have the autonomy to build and shape a new business vertical, driving significant impact on the company's growth and future direction.
- • Success in this role requires a blend of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, deep understanding of the AI landscape, and exceptional leadership capabilities. You will navigate complex negotiations, build consensus across internal teams, and inspire external partners to collaborate on groundbreaking initiatives.
- • Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring Gracenote is not just participating in the AI era, but leading it, by providing the essential data backbone that powers the next generation of intelligent applications and experiences.
