Director, API Platform Product Management

📋 Description

• • As Director, API Platform Product Management at Hiive, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Hiive's API platform and partner integration ecosystem, defining how external technology partners connect to Hiive and how Hiive's data and capabilities are exposed through well-designed, developer-friendly APIs.
• • You will lead the end-to-end API product lifecycle, including design, documentation, versioning, governance, and deprecation, while establishing API design standards with engineering partners to prioritize developer experience, consistency, and security.
• • You will partner with engineering, compliance, legal, and business teams to build integrations with financial infrastructure providers, translate domain-specific requirements into clean API contracts, and ensure regulatory compliance (FINRA, KYC/AML, broker-dealer obligations).
• • You will build and maintain API documentation, developer guides, sandbox environments, and GTM practices for partners, define success metrics (onboarding time, reliability, adoption, revenue), and lay the groundwork for a broader developer ecosystem as the platform matures.
• • You will report to the CPTO, serve as a key member of the product leadership team, and anticipate managing multiple technical product manager direct reports in a new, high-impact function driving Hiive’s growth through platform strategy and ecosystem development.
