📋 Description
- • As the Director of Business Operations at Veriff OÜ, you will be a pivotal, high-leverage operator within the Operations and Analytics team, instrumental in driving the company's growth and operational excellence. This role is designed for an individual who thrives at the intersection of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, working closely with the SVP of Operations and Analytics and the broader leadership team to build the scalable operational infrastructure necessary for Veriff's continued success.
- • You will take ownership of critical company-wide planning cycles, encompassing everything from annual strategic planning to the detailed setting of quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Your expertise will be crucial in developing robust frameworks that translate ambitious business goals into measurable commitments, ensuring clear accountability across all levels of the organization.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve managing the executive and board-level cadence. This includes preparing comprehensive materials that synthesize business performance, highlight key insights, and inform critical decision-making. You will also be responsible for running the operational rhythm for the SVP, which may include facilitating leadership reviews, organizing strategic offsites, and ensuring alignment on key initiatives.
- • You will be tasked with owning and driving 2–4 high-priority, cross-functional business problems concurrently. This involves guiding initiatives from initial definition and scoping through to successful execution, acting as the essential "connective tissue" between departments such as Product, Engineering, and Finance. Your ability to identify and resolve dependencies will be critical to unblocking progress and ensuring seamless collaboration.
- • A significant focus will be placed on establishing and maintaining operational rigor. You will proactively identify and address gaps in current decision-making processes and workflows, developing essential tools and playbooks that enable the company to scale effectively. Furthermore, you will partner closely with the Finance team on resource allocation, the development of business cases, and ensuring financial discipline.
- • This role demands a deep analytical capability, including strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in SQL. You will be expected to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, deriving clear, actionable recommendations that drive strategic outcomes.
- • Your ability to communicate complex information effectively to diverse audiences, from individual contributors to the Board of Directors, is paramount. You will need to demonstrate excellent executive presence and the skill to distill intricate situations into understandable and impactful messages.
- • You will also leverage your strong interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders without direct authority, building trust and fostering collaboration across a complex organizational structure.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a self-starter mentality, thriving in ambiguous environments and capable of defining clear roadmaps that directly link to tangible business impact. You will be a deep problem solver, adept at uncovering root causes rather than just addressing symptoms, particularly in challenging or adversarial situations.
- • Your communication style should be clear and concise, making complex analyses accessible and actionable for a wide range of stakeholders. You will embody the role of a strategic executor, capable of both high-level strategic alignment and detailed, hands-on work, such as writing SQL queries or debugging measurement issues.
- • As a strong team builder, you will invest in people, create clarity around objectives, and elevate standards through effective coaching and by example, fostering a high-performing operational environment.
- • Veriff is at the forefront of identity verification, providing a critical service for growth-driven organizations worldwide. As Director of Business Operations, you will play a crucial role in shaping the operational backbone of a company dedicated to building a safer and more secure digital world, backed by prominent investors and a diverse global team.
