📋 Description
- • Lead the platform foundations that Sanity engineers rely on daily, including cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, observability, CI/CD, and deployment systems, ensuring reliability and scalability for high-volume content operations.
- • Define and execute infrastructure strategy across cloud, reliability, security, cost, and developer experience, aligning platform ownership with SRE enablement and product team autonomy.
- • Partner with engineering, product, security, and customer-facing teams to uphold uptime, latency, compliance, and trust standards while driving cost discipline without slowing innovation.
- • Hire, coach, and elevate infrastructure leaders and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, production readiness, and continuous improvement in a scaling SaaS environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Led Infrastructure, Platform, SRE, Cloud, or Developer Platform teams in a scaling SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, API, data, or developer-tools company
- • Operated systems with high request volume, multi-region production, strict uptime expectations, large cloud bills, customer-facing incidents, and trust requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- • Built or run production platforms with Kubernetes, GCP or AWS, Terraform or similar IaC, service discovery, networking, API gateways, CDNs, observability, CI/CD, and incident response
- • Technically deep enough to debate architecture with senior engineers and pragmatic enough to make timely decisions
- • Experienced in splitting central platform ownership from product-team service ownership without creating bottlenecks
- • Managed managers or senior technical leads, knowing when to coach, set the bar, or get directly involved
