- • Lead the design and execution of oncology learning strategies across the US commercial organization to support launch readiness, field force effectiveness, and manager development.
- • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical, Commercial Operations, Legal, Regulatory, and Business Conduct to align learning solutions with business priorities and evolving oncology needs.
- • Develop and manage a team focused on US Commercial and Commercial Learning & Development priorities, establishing clear expectations, collaboration, and effective ways of working.
- • Apply adult learning principles and modern instructional design practices to create engaging, practical, and durable learning experiences that reinforce commercial strategy.
- • Leverage AI-enabled learning approaches, tools, and content development practices to personalize training, accelerate deployment, increase learner engagement, and strengthen measurement of training effectiveness.
- • Drive prioritization and operating processes that align learning resources to the highest-value oncology business needs while balancing near-term execution with long-term capability building.
- • Lead readiness and capability strategies for major product launches, manager meetings, national meetings, and other strategic shifts across the US Oncology business.
- • Manage end-to-end learning projects from concept through execution, ensuring clear timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and successful on-time delivery within scope.
- • Establish disciplined project management practices including timeline tracking, risk identification, and proactive mitigation strategies for oncology training initiatives and launches.
- • Evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including AI, to modernize learning strategy, streamline content development, and enhance field capability building.
- • Define clear learning objectives, success measures, and performance outcomes for training programs and the team responsible for delivery.
- • Incorporate motivating, creative, and interactive learning strategies to maximize engagement, knowledge retention, and practical application in the field.
- • Utilize sales performance metrics, learner feedback, and business insights to assess training impact and inform ongoing program design.
- • Manage agency and vendor relationships for content design and development, ensuring high-quality deliverables, strong partnerships, and effective budget stewardship.
- • Manage budgets effectively, balancing quality, impact, and operational discipline across all learning initiatives.
- • Demonstrate strong communication, facilitation, critical thinking, and decision-making skills in a complex, matrixed environment.
- • Communicate effectively in written, verbal, and visual formats with audiences ranging from field teams to senior leaders.
- • Continuously identify opportunities to improve learning strategy, delivery, and operational efficiency through innovation, experimentation, and best-practice adoption.
- • Support talent development within the learning organization with a focus on building strong capability and long-term team effectiveness.
- • Bring experience across multiple learning modalities including instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, digital, and self-directed web-based learning.
- • Create inclusion by modeling diverse team values and embedding diversity in team management practices.
- • Develop talent by coaching employees on current performance and future potential, ensuring they receive feedback and insight to grow and realize their purpose.
- • Empower teams by aligning goals with organizational objectives, removing barriers, and connecting team members to the broader ecosystem.
- • This is a remote role with up to 25% travel required.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience or master’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience
- • Proven experience leading commercial learning and development strategies in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
- • Demonstrated expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and multi-modal learning delivery (instructor-led, virtual, digital, self-directed)
- • Experience managing teams and providing people leadership through coaching, performance management, and talent development
- • Strong track record of partnering with cross-functional commercial stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Medical, Legal, Regulatory)
- • Proficiency in leveraging AI-enabled learning technologies and data-driven metrics to measure training effectiveness

- • Salary range of $191,250.00 - $247,500.00
