- • LIV Golf Investments is seeking a highly strategic and operationally adept Director of Content to spearhead content planning, execution, and performance optimization across North American markets. This pivotal role will function as a key counterpart to the existing Director of Content based in London, ensuring a cohesive and impactful global content strategy.
- • As a central connector, you will bridge various League departments, teams, platforms, and partners, guaranteeing unified storytelling, clear calendar visibility, the adoption of best practices, and measurable content impact. Your responsibilities will encompass both strategic foresight and hands-on execution, driving alignment between overarching global content priorities and the unique opportunities present in regional markets.
- • **Content Strategy & Planning:** You will collaborate closely with your London-based counterpart to conceptualize and implement a comprehensive global content strategy that spans the League, its teams, and all relevant platforms. A critical aspect of this role involves maintaining a dynamic, two-way flow of information regarding publishing calendars, ensuring seamless integration between major League initiatives and the compelling narratives of individual teams. You will be instrumental in driving the strategic planning for content surrounding seasonal campaigns, major events, and crucial moments throughout the golf calendar. Furthermore, you will proactively identify emerging cultural trends, innovative content formats, and promising platform opportunities to inform and shape our content initiatives, ensuring LIV Golf remains at the forefront of sports entertainment.
- • **Calendar & Workflow Management:** A key responsibility will be overseeing the centralized content calendar, leveraging platforms like Monday.com to ensure transparency and facilitate cross-functional coordination. You will be tasked with establishing and maintaining standardized workflows for all content requests, official announcements, and campaign rollouts, streamlining processes for maximum efficiency. Leading regular communication rhythms, including town halls, planning forums, and cross-departmental syncs, will be essential to maintaining organizational alignment and transparency.
- • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** You will act as a primary liaison, fostering strong relationships and ensuring coordinated efforts across critical departments such as Marketing, Broadcast, Partnerships, Ticketing, Legal, Operations, Retail, and Communications. This involves ensuring consistent messaging and synchronized timing for key moments, including player signings, ticket releases, partnership announcements, and any breaking news, to maximize impact and audience engagement. Close partnership with internal marketing and social media teams will be vital for aligning amplification strategies and creative execution across all channels.
- • **Platform & Distribution Leadership:** Building and nurturing robust relationships with key platform partners, including YouTube and other social and digital channels, will be crucial for staying ahead of evolving best practices and product advancements. You will serve as the essential conduit between internal teams and these platforms, facilitating the sharing of insights, feedback, and optimization opportunities. This role will also support the development of tailored channel strategies for individual teams, with a particular focus on YouTube growth and the expansion of long-form storytelling initiatives.
- • **Content Performance & Insights:** You will establish a regular cadence for performance benchmarking, comparing LIV Golf's content performance against leading sports properties to identify areas for growth and excellence. Driving the adoption of analytics across all relevant teams, utilizing tools such as Blinkfire and Emplifi, will be a core function. A significant part of your role will involve translating performance insights into actionable recommendations for content optimization, monetization strategies, and delivering tangible value to partners. You will also develop standardized reporting frameworks to effectively communicate media value and ROI for our partners.
- • **Best Practices & Capability Building:** You will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive best practice documentation covering all aspects of content creation, publishing, paid partnerships, and branded content compliance. Leading knowledge-sharing initiatives, including the dissemination of benchmarking reports and cross-industry learning exchanges, will foster a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, you will build and manage centralized documentation for our creator and influencer ecosystem to support coordinated and effective engagement strategies.
- • **Execution & Event Support:** This role requires a hands-on approach, including providing on-site event leadership to ensure real-time coordination, swift issue resolution, and consistent storytelling alignment during tournaments. You will proactively communicate League storyline priorities and campaign narratives to all relevant teams and stakeholders. Furthermore, you will support the strategic rollout of sponsorable content strands and integrated paid strategies across all campaigns, maximizing commercial opportunities.
