- • Lead regional hiring, deployment, and supervision of Hematology-focused Associate Directors – Field Medical (MSLs) across the Western United States.
- • Directly manage team performance through goal setting, field visits, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- • Ensure all field activities comply with current regulatory, legal, and healthcare guidelines and company policies.
- • Execute field medical initiatives and maintain team metrics related to activity levels and scientific engagement.
- • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align field strategies with company goals and communicate the team’s value proposition.
- • Develop and implement strategic plans for engaging healthcare professionals and therapeutic area opinion leaders on disease states and product information.
- • Participate in the development and regulatory approval of educational materials, evidence communication tools, and scientific messaging.
- • Build and maintain collaborative strategies with customer-facing teams such as sales to ensure compliant, coordinated field activities.
- • Identify research gaps and foster partnerships with potential and existing investigators to advance Hematology clinical science.
- • Support clinical data management through abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscript development for scientific dissemination.
- • Engage with healthcare professionals at medical conferences to gather and report critical medical insights and market intelligence.
- • Develop and coordinate strategic plans for Hematology-specific scientific meetings, congresses, and symposia.
- • Partner with Clinical and study staff to implement plans and strategies aligned with Hematology Development Plans.
- • Maintain targeted lists of Hematology experts and investigators with actionable engagement plans.
- • Work with Medical Information to develop, review, and approve scientific responses to inquiries from healthcare professionals.
- • Ensure integrity and professionalism in all internal and external interactions, adhering to company financial controls and ethical standards.
- • Drive pre-launch, launch, and post-launch field medical activities for Hematology products, with preference for experience in Lymphoma or Multiple Myeloma.
- • Demonstrate ability to build and sustain a high-performing, customer-centric Field Medical Affairs organization.
- • Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Veeva with proficiency to manage workflows, reporting, and communications.
- • Maintain residency in the Western United States to effectively lead regional operations and field teams.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced medical or scientific degree (MD/DO, PhD, PharmD, DVM)
- • 10+ years of experience in Field Medical Affairs
- • 2+ years of experience leading a team
- • Oncology and/or Hematology experience required (Lymphoma or Multiple Myeloma preferred)
- • Residency in the Western United States
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Veeva
