📋 Description
- • Airwallex is seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Performance Marketing to spearhead our global growth initiatives. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping and executing our performance marketing strategy, ensuring efficient customer acquisition and conversion across all digital touchpoints. You will be the architect of our paid media success, overseeing a diverse portfolio of channels including paid search, paid social, display advertising, and emerging digital platforms. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned marketing leader to make a significant impact within a rapidly scaling, category-defining fintech company.
- • As the Director of Performance Marketing, you will be entrusted with defining the overarching strategy for how Airwallex attracts and converts customers throughout their entire journey. This involves a deep collaboration with our Brand, Product Marketing, and Revenue Operations teams to architect and implement scalable, efficient growth strategies. Your success will be measured by your ability to leverage data, cutting-edge technology, and creative excellence to drive tangible business outcomes. This is a high-visibility leadership position designed for a builder who thrives in a dynamic environment, adept at balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution. You will be responsible for designing and refining frameworks that optimize for both aggressive top-line revenue growth and robust bottom-line efficiency, meticulously managing the Lifetime Value to Customer Acquisition Cost (LTV:CAC) ratio across all global markets.
- • Your core responsibilities will encompass owning the global performance marketing strategy from conception to execution. This includes defining the optimal channel mix, developing sophisticated audience segmentation frameworks, and establishing dynamic investment models that adapt to market opportunities and performance data. You will set ambitious quarterly and annual growth objectives for all paid media channels, ensuring alignment with broader company goals. A key aspect of this role involves meticulous budget planning, pacing, and forecasting, working in close partnership with our Finance and Revenue Operations teams to guarantee financial accuracy and strategic alignment.
- • You will be tasked with developing and implementing robust, scalable testing frameworks. These frameworks will be crucial for systematically evaluating creative assets, targeting parameters, and messaging strategies across diverse markets, enabling continuous optimization and learning. You will act as a key liaison, partnering closely with Regional Marketing Directors across APAC, EMEA, ANZ, and the Americas to ensure that global strategies are executed with local nuance and effectiveness, maintaining alignment with overarching company priorities.
- • As the executive-level owner of critical performance indicators, you will be accountable for key metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), LTV:CAC ratio, pipeline contribution, and overall Return on Investment (ROI). Your expertise will guide the multi-channel execution and optimization efforts across major platforms including Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), YouTube, and various programmatic advertising platforms. You will establish and champion best practices for campaign structure, advanced bidding strategies, automation implementation, and rigorous measurement protocols.
- • Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work hand-in-hand with our SEO, Web, and Lifecycle Marketing teams to construct seamless, integrated cross-channel customer journeys that maximize funnel efficiency and conversion rates. A strong partnership with our Brand, Product Marketing, and Creative teams will ensure that campaign messaging is consistently relevant, compelling, and maintains perfect continuity from ad creative to landing page experience.
- • You will lead quarterly business reviews with our key ad platforms and agency partners, proactively identifying emerging opportunities and driving innovation in our paid media efforts. A critical component of this role involves partnering with our Analytics and RevOps teams to develop sophisticated end-to-end attribution models and comprehensive multi-touch reporting dashboards, leveraging tools like Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Looker, and Tableau. You will implement advanced measurement techniques such as value-based bidding (VBB), offline conversion imports, and intricate data integrations with our CRM systems (Salesforce, Marketo).
- • Furthermore, you will establish rigorous processes for incrementality testing, holdout analysis, and cohort-based CAC tracking to ensure a deep understanding of true campaign impact. Embracing the future of marketing, you will actively evaluate and adopt emerging AI and automation tools to enhance creative testing efficiency, refine targeting precision, and improve pacing accuracy. This role also involves building and nurturing a high-performing global team of channel managers, strategists, and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high achievement. You will serve as a mentor and coach, cultivating an environment of experimentation, intellectual curiosity, and unwavering accountability. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence through clear documentation, intuitive dashboards, and effective cross-regional enablement, ensuring the global performance marketing function operates at peak efficiency and effectiveness.
