- • The Director, GSC Insurance Planning and Strategy will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the organization’s logistics, repair, and distribution network, focusing on optimizing stock levels, reporting KPIs, and driving process improvements. This role plays a critical part in aligning operations with demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and leading logistics strategy, establishing demand planning and forecasting processes, overseeing the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) framework, creating capacity models, ensuring optimal inventory levels, leading operational productivity analyses, developing automated KPI reporting, analyzing business and financial results, monitoring performance metrics, partnering with internal teams, collaborating with clients and actuaries, fostering cross-functional collaboration, managing and mentoring a team of directors and managers, providing career development guidance, managing inventory budgets exceeding $100M, and supporting cost reduction initiatives while maintaining service levels.

- • In this role, the individual will gain significant visibility with senior executives and clients, drive strategic decision-making that enhances financial outcomes and operational productivity, lead and develop a high-performing team, master advanced supply chain and forecasting systems, and contribute to process improvements that impact global inventory strategy and margin growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- • Minimum of 10 years in supply chain, logistics, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams
- • Proficiency in forecasting and inventory planning systems
- • Expert-level Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, trend analysis)
- • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- • Proven ability to lead process improvements and cross-functional initiatives
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- • Experience with ERP systems like Oracle, Great Plains, or similar inventory management platforms
