- • The Director, K-12 Strategic Account Manager drives growth and achieves sales goals for College Board programs and services within an assigned territory in Illinois, leading the execution of state strategy and developing district-level sales by identifying opportunities, advancing conversations, and closing agreements that expand access to College Board programs.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing multi-year growth strategies for complex states or high-impact districts, building and maintaining account management planning processes, analyzing market data and performance trends to inform long-term strategy, managing a robust sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM, leading executive-level planning engagements with district and state leaders, and providing strategic oversight for major partnership agreements.
- • The Midwest Regional K-12 team at College Board is a high-performing, mission-driven group that combines consultative sales expertise with a deep commitment to providing opportunities to students, partnering with educators in high schools, school districts, and education leaders to expand access to College Board programs and services, especially for those from underserved backgrounds.
- • In this role, you will develop strategic account management skills, deepen expertise in K-12 education policy and program adoption, enhance consultative selling and relationship-building capabilities with senior education leaders, and contribute to regional strategy that expands equitable access to College Board programs such as the SAT Suite, AP, and BigFuture.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 8 years of progressive experience in strategic sales, business development, or partnership management, ideally in education technology, K-12 solutions, or related sectors.
- • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets across complex portfolios.
- • Experience using Salesforce to manage pipeline, forecast performance, and inform strategy.
- • The ability to build and sustain senior-level relationships and influence decision-making across complex stakeholder groups.
- • Strong operational discipline, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive execution across time-sensitive initiatives.
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and a Bachelor’s degree.
