📋 Description
- • The Director, K-12 Strategic Account Manager drives growth and achieves sales goals for College Board programs and services within an assigned territory in Illinois, leading state strategy execution and district-level sales to expand access to educational opportunities, especially for underserved students.
- • Day to day, the role involves developing multi-year growth strategies for complex districts or statewide initiatives, building and maintaining senior-level relationships with superintendents and district leaders, managing a robust sales pipeline in Salesforce, leading executive planning sessions, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure coordinated district engagement and long-term partnership growth.
- • The Midwest Regional K-12 team at College Board is a high-performing, mission-driven group that combines consultative sales expertise with a deep commitment to expanding student opportunity through programs like the SAT Suite, AP, and BigFuture, operating with an energetic, collaborative, and results-oriented culture.
- • In this role, the person can develop strategic account management expertise, influence statewide education policy and program adoption, lead cross-functional initiatives, and grow their impact in advancing equitable access to college and career readiness tools for K-12 students.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 8 years of progressive experience in strategic sales, business development, or partnership management, ideally in education technology, K-12 solutions, or related sectors.
- • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets across complex portfolios.
- • Experience using Salesforce to manage pipeline, forecast performance, and inform strategy.
- • Ability to build and sustain senior-level relationships and influence decision-making across complex stakeholder groups.
- • Bachelor’s degree required.
- • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 40–50%) and maintain a valid driver’s license.
