- • The Director, Managed Account Platform Operations & Services will lead the buildout and expansion of SS&C’s Managed Account Middle Office managed services offering, supporting Investment Managers and Sponsors by developing scalable operating models and optimizing workflows for Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) and Unified Managed Accounts (UMAs).
- • Day to day, the role involves directing daily operations for high-volume SMA and UMA programs, overseeing trade lifecycle processes including routing, execution, settlement, and exception management, leading cash and position reconciliations, shadow accounting oversight, performance validation, and reporting controls to ensure data integrity and client reporting accuracy.
- • The role bridges front-office trading activity and back-office accounting operations, ensuring seamless integration and operational excellence while acting as the primary liaison between Portfolio Managers, Asset Managers, Custodians, and outsourced service providers.
- • The person will learn and achieve expertise in scaling managed services platforms, driving process automation, ensuring GIPS compliance and investment mandate adherence, and partnering with leadership to expand managed service capabilities and support future platform growth initiatives within a global financial services and healthcare technology leader.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience managing operations on industry-leading managed account, wealth management, middle office, or outsourcing platforms
- • Strong understanding of SMA/UMA structures, tax-loss harvesting, sleeve accounting, and managed account operating models
- • Experience building, transforming, or scaling managed services, outsourced operating models, or middle office organizations
- • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams within fast-paced investment operations environments
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will be considered
