- • Serve as the subject matter expert and primary point-of-contact for Senior Leadership and internal stakeholders on all trade strategy and distribution network questions impacting Gilead’s in-line and pipeline assets.
- • Drive strategic recommendations and oversee implementation of channel and distribution strategies with Trade Account and Operations Teams, aligning with evolving market dynamics and access paradigms.
- • Monitor and analyze emerging market disruptors such as Alternate Site of Care, Telehealth, Home Health, and Direct-to-Patient models, and communicate implications to key internal partners.
- • Spearhead RFP development and vendor selection processes for new distribution services, delivering data-driven recommendations to Senior Leadership.
- • Define and track portfolio- and product-specific KPIs and service metrics in collaboration with Trade Account Teams to evaluate performance of wholesalers, specialty distributors, retail/specialty pharmacies, and digital health partners.
- • Develop and execute mature product channel strategies in partnership with Trade Account, Contracts, Operations, and Regulatory teams for new and discontinued NDC management.
- • Generate strategic insights through primary research and data analytics to inform long-term planning and support negotiation and execution of channel contracts within approved guidelines.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Managed Markets, Trade Operations, Government Pricing, Finance, Government Affairs, Legal, and IT to integrate distribution trends into 3-year strategic planning and ensure scalability across brands.
- • Attend industry conferences and meetings to monitor competitive landscape and evolving trading partner dynamics that may impact channel strategies.
- • Ensure full compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations by working closely with Auditing, Regulatory, and Legal teams; maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct quarterly audits.
- • Leverage SOPs to manage order parameters as defined by internal agreements and policy, ensuring operational consistency.
- • Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports and junior team members, fostering professional growth and accountability.
- • Build and sustain strong relationships with cross-functional leaders including VPs, Executive Directors, Brand, Marketing, Finance, and Commercial Operations.
- • Act as a trusted advisor to internal customers by demonstrating deep business acumen and providing actionable, insight-driven guidance.
- • Navigate organizational complexity with diplomacy, influencing without direct authority and advocating for strategic methodologies even when divergent from consensus.
- • Manage external consulting resources to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree and Ten Years’ Experience OR Master’s Degree and Eight Years’ Experience OR PhD and Two Years’ Experience
- • 6+ years of experience in Market Access, specifically in developing distribution networks and channel segments including wholesalers, specialty distributors, retail/specialty pharmacies, hospitals, and integrated delivery networks
- • 2+ years of management experience
- • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau
- • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with emphasis on project management and issue resolution
- • Experience developing and operationalizing traditional and non-traditional channel strategies (e.g., home health, direct-to-patient, digital health)
