- • As Director, Medical Communications, Neuroscience at Novartis, you will shape and execute the US medical communications strategy across product launches and lifecycle moments for therapeutic area objectives, setting the scientific narrative and guiding publications and congress content to ensure medical materials are accurate, consistent, and compliant.
- • Day to day, you will design and implement medical communications strategies, define and execute publication strategies, co-create scientific communications platforms, oversee development of scientifically accurate medical content, ensure messaging alignment across channels, collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Clinical Development, and Commercial teams, serve as the US Medical Affairs single point of contact to the Novartis Corporate Center, partner with external agencies and scientific experts, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead, mentor, and develop medical writers and communication specialists.
- • You will be part of Novartis AG, a global healthcare company committed to turning complex science into clear, credible stories that move healthcare forward, operating in a matrixed organization where you will partner closely with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Clinical Development, and Commercial teams to support better patient outcomes through trustworthy scientific exchange.
- • In this role, you can learn and achieve strategic leadership in neuroscience medical communications, deepen expertise in publication planning and congress content development, strengthen cross-functional influence in a matrixed environment, mentor and grow a team of medical writers, and contribute to scientific narratives that support patient outcomes and therapeutic area success.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or a related discipline; PhD, PharmD, MD preferred
- • Minimum five years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry
- • At least five years of experience in medical or scientific communications, publications, or congress planning
- • Strong understanding of medical affairs, clinical research, publication planning, and regulatory environments
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex science clearly
- • Demonstrated success leading work through a matrixed organization with strong project and stakeholder management skills
